Number of overnight hospital separations per 1,000 population
Indicator Summary
Overnight separation: Length of stay in hospital was at least one night (admission date and separation date are different).
Excludes newborns without qualified days.
Rates are directly age-standardised.
Analysis by state and territory is based on location of service.
Analysis by remoteness and SEIFA Index of Relative Socioeconomic Disadvantage (IRSD) is based on usual residence of person.
