Guide for use:

Record the presence of residual tumour on completion of the course of treatment for cancer.

In some cases treated with surgery and/or neoadjuvant therapy, residual tumour will be present at the primary site after treatment because of incomplete resection or local and regional disease extending beyond the scope of resection.

Comments:
The presence of residual tumour may indicate the effect of treatment, influence further treatment decisions, and be a strong predictor of prognosis.
